Peccary Skull Proud to be Bald!

I was writing to a friend in Europe that since less people are out due to the pandemic, wild animals had decided to get easy food by walking the streets of our city at all times of the day. Peccary, bobcats, coyotes and even cougar (mountain lion) have daily close encounters with people and their pets.

In that email communication, I recalled that I had a peccary skull that I had not yet decided what to do with. So, here is my latest project:

The skull was perfect except that the left fang was missing:

Since the ocular orbits were so intact, I thought a feline look would be interesting:

Then painted mirror image Kokopelli on the forehead:

It was at this point that I became uncertain. In the past I had covered the top of the skull with coyote or rabbit fur because there were cracks or missing bones. It was not the case with this one. So, here is the test with coyote fur, feathers covered with cottontail rabbit tail, and turquoise stone:

After looking long and hard, decided to leave the skull bald. After all it was a perfect bald!
