When a Lion Looks at You Through Human Eyes
There seems to be a true interest in the puma and tiger paintings I have done in the past year. The feedback I get is that painting on hare skin, one that I have preserved, is quite unusual. Most who see my painting are however attracted to the eyes of the tiger and puma. And they do not realise that the yes I give them are a hybrid between a cat and a human. Sometimes I have one eye that is human and one that is from a large cat or a wolf (https://vaheark.blogspot.com/2018/09/listening-with-my-eyes.html)
But all my paintings have a look that is mine at that moment of putting paint on hide with my painting knife (https://vaheark.blogspot.com/2019/04/tigers-and-mountain-lions-oh-my.html)
... This time I decided to not only have a human and a cat eye but also mix the features of a lion and a tiger. This is the final product before framing:
And here is side by side comparison of my tiger and "Leo-tig"!
I think my original tiger is a bit more "on his guard", while the "leo-tig" is more at peace.
Maybe a psychologist can analyse my mood through the reflections of my painting knife on hare hide....
