I Listened and Took the Ears Off...
So, the last painting I did of a puma face on hare skin got a lot of viewers to visit and comment. Actually, I got viewers from countries that have never visited my blogs before -- that made me think that there may be something universally intriguing in my painting.
Among the comments I got was that many did not like the ears I put on my fist puma painting. Here is the entry (https://vaheark.blogspot.com/2018/09/listening-with-my-eyes.html) and here is that work:
So, after a hunting outing for winter hare I came back with a large one which also contributes to my culinary explorations. I prepared the hide and was able to enhance some of the veins in a way that gave me another opportunity to listen to what the hide was suggesting me to paint upon it.
This time I painted the puma without ears and used the veins to show anticipation and pulse. I am anxious to get feedback from my viewers!
