An Ancient Warrior: The Tale of a Vertebrum
This time, the coyotes had attacked a cow. Out of
the sun-bleached skeleton, I chose a vertebrum. It looked like a Viking of
sort. Or a Crusader.
I worked a few lines with oil pain around the
natural curves and bone-channels. And suddenly, the warrior came to life. Or went peacefully to sleep.
I
added a piece of rabbit fur to his forehead to cover his bald….
